To welcome the “May Day” International Labor Day and promote the spirit of hard work and cooperation, the company held a “May Day Fun Sports Meeting” on the afternoon of April 29. 76 employees from various departments formed 4 teams and launched a competitive feast that integrated fun, strategy and team cooperation. This sports meeting set up four creative projects, which not only have the tension of traditional athletics, but also integrate game-based interesting design. Cheers and laughter rose one after another at the event site, and employees released pressure and gathered strength in a relaxed atmosphere.
Chopstick Ball Picking: Strive for Victory in Stability
The first event “Chopstick Ball Picking” quickly pushed the atmosphere to a climax. Participants need to pick up table tennis balls with chopsticks and relay them from the starting point to the finish point. The members of the functional team were nervous and kept dropping the balls and even their shoes, making their teammates exclaim “Hold on, hold on!”, which made the audience laugh heartily. In the end, a team of 4 members set a meeting record of delivering 9 balls in 1 minute with smooth handover cooperation, winning the first place in this project.
All the Way Around: A Big Test of Tacit Understanding
Eight team members hold hands to form a “human chain” and need to pass the hula hoop from the front to the end of the team and back without letting go. The second manufacturing department adopts the “advantage complementarity method” — tall team members raise their arms to enlarge the hula hoop, expand the space inside the hoop and reduce transmission resistance; short team members, relying on their small stature, quickly bow their heads and sideways to drill through the hula hoop, reducing the time consumption. The transmission is as smooth as flowing water, and they win the championship with an absolute advantage of 41 seconds.
Tetris: A Collision of Speed and Wisdom
The third item “Tetris” combines physical strength and mental power to the extreme. Team members need to run relay to the chessboard area and place colorful block puzzles. Each complete row eliminated will be awarded 5 points. The “strategists” outside the field command loudly, making the scene tense and lively. In the end, Jingzhou Manufacturing Department won the first place with 49 points.
Speed Gomoku: Strategy Wins
The finale event “Speed Gomoku” turns the competition venue into a giant chessboard. Different from traditional Gomoku, this time the “time-limited racing + connected pieces points” dual rules are adopted. If five-in-a-row is not achieved within 3 minutes, the winner will be determined by the longest continuous number of pieces on the chessboard. Each team needs to place pieces during relay running, both to form five-in-a-row and to block the opponent. Four teams engage in a dual contest of mental and physical strength in the time-limited competition. In the end, the second manufacturing department, relying on precise tactics and fearless sprinting, defeats the opponent with a “four-in-a-row” move and wins the championship.
This fun sports meeting not only allows employees to relax physically and mentally after intense work, but also promotes cross-departmental communication and enhances team cohesion. In the future, the company will continue to hold such activities to create a positive, harmonious and happy corporate culture atmosphere.
